Dr. Jackson leads The
Schott Foundation’s efforts
to ensure a high quality public education for
all students regardless of race or gender. Dr.
Jackson previously spent seven years in leadership
positions at the NAACP, as National Director
of Education and then as Chief Policy Officer.
Dr. Jackson has also been an
Adjunct Professor of Race, Gender, and Public
Policy, and was appointed by President Bill Clinton
to serve in his administration as
Senior Policy Advisor in the Office for Civil
Rights (OCR) at the U.S. Department of Education. |
Justice Greaney signed on to the majority opinion
in McDuffy v. Sec'y of the Executive Office
of Educ., 415 Mass. 545 (1993), and filed
a dissenting opinion in Hancock v. Driscoll,
443 Mass. 428 (2005).
Justice Greaney became the presiding judge of
the Hampden County Housing Court in 1974. He
later served as an Associate Justice and then
Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court,
and assumed his present position as an Associate
Justice in 1989.
Justice Greaney also lectures and writes extensively
for legal and judicial education programs, and
has served as Chair of the Appellate Judges Conference
of the American Bar Association. |
